Chemical Process Safety

Working Party

The Working Party acts as a link and a forum for all interest groups active in the interdisciplinary field of chemical process safety.
The current trend is oriented towards experiments (and chemical analysis) with smaller samples, hence the necessity to back up such experiments with mathematical modeling, kinetics and simulation (calculating experiments). For this reason the Working Party is involved in issues concerning the non-ambiguity of the "right" model approach, the great amount of time and work involved, and uncertainty in the case of heat and mass transfer problems and property and plant data.
A further priority is the development of novel measurement methods and equipment.
