CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

Subject Division

The role of the Subject Division CFD is to provide a discussion forum on R&D results from the field of fluid flow simulation, in particular for industrial processes. It serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experience between universities, industry, research institutions and software producers as well as for further training and the professional development of next-generation scientists.
Areas of special interest:
  • Multiphase flows
  • Mixing
  • Turbulent reacting flows
  • Multiscale and hybrid modeling (e.g. combination of CFD with population balances, process simulations or mathematical programs)
  • Turbulence modeling
