Safe Design of Chemical Plants

Working Party

The Working Party regularly discusses the state-of-the-art of science and technology in the area of safety in chemical and petrochemical plants. It focuses on the following tasks:
  • Supervision of university research work (doctoral theses)
  • Information and discussion of other projects (from industry, other research institutions, the public authorities, employers' liability insurance associations)
  • Treatment of major industrial safety issues
During their studies doctoral candidates are generally invited three times to hold a lecture. The treatment of major industrial issues serves the exchange of ideas and experience in implementing safety concepts in industrial practice.
