International Workshop Molecular Modeling an Simulation: Natural Science meets Engineering

including Symposium on Industrial Applications of Molecular Modeling and Simulation

IMPORTANT: Your Hotel booking

Molecular modeling and simulation are of key importance for research in many areas of physics, chemistry and biology, but also in engineering. Methods and simulation tools are now available in this field that also contribute to solving practical problems in industrial research and development. They open the route to gaining new insights into technical processes and may lead to improvements that up to now could only be obtained empirically.

The present workshop is explicitly dedicated to this rapidly developing interdisciplinary field in which natural sciences and engineering join forces. It provides a unique opportunity for getting an overview of the state of research in molecular modeling and simulation at the interface between natural science and engineering. Moreover, it aims at bringing together experts from academia and industry, as well as from different scientific communities that are engaged in applied molecular modeling and simulation.

The workshop continues a series that was launched in 2008 by Dechema. It will be held in downtown Frankfurt/Main, Germany, one of Europe's most easily accessible cities, and will start on Monday morning at 11 a.m. and close on Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. A social program has been organized for Monday night.
