Interfacially Dominated Systems and Processes

Subject Division

The importance of surfaces is growing in step with miniaturization in microsystems technology and nanotechnology. In information technology, materials sciences and the area of life sciences, interfacial systems also play a key role. R&D in this field is, therefore, crucial if hindrances to the new and continuing development of technologies are to be overcome.

The aim of the Subject Division is to offer an interdisciplinary forum for engineers and scientists for the discussion of technological and fundamental issues, the promotion of research and young scientists, and the provision of continuing education.
