Mixing
Subject Division
The Subject Division deals with technical and scientific problems of mixing processes in systems in which the main component exist as a solid, a paste or a low to high-viscosity liquid. In all areas, the aim is to investigate the fundamental phenomena, to devise experimentally supported criteria for scale-up and design of machinery and apparatus, to develop mathematical models to describe the most important mixing apparatus. Priorities:
- Stirring techniques
- Mixing with solids, pastes or high-viscosity liquids
- Micro and mini-mixers
- Special areas
- Modeling and simulation
