Thermophysical Data for Engineering Applications

Working Party

The Working Party sees its role as a link between process simulation applications in the chemical industry and the development of thermodynamic tools at universities.
Its activities focus on:
  • Acquisition and checking of thermophysical data, including transport and reaction kinetics data
  • Assessment of data and data collections
  • Assessment and development of new models for process simulation
  • Monitoring new developments in measurement technologies
  • Methodical fundamentals of the application of thermophysical data
  • Discussion of industrial application cases
  • Exchange of experience with data handling
  • Highlighting the importance and benefit of high-quality data and models
