Computer-Aided Plant Design

Working Party

Data Processing (DP) methods and systems for collecting and processing process data and for supporting basic and detail engineering, project management and operation as well as the interfaces to plant operation are the main areas of interest of the working party:
  • Integrated information and data systems
  • CAE technology
  • Mass data processing in pipeline construction
  • Database applications in basic and detail engineering
  • Quality assurance systems
  • Audits and access security
  • Data networks and work station concepts; DV standards
  • Data transfer and interface management within a company and between different companies

Due to the intensified use of DP for design and documentation as well as the proliferation of ordinances, DP-aided data exchange between contracting bodies, engineering firms and sub-contractors is becoming increasingly important.
